This activity is NOT interactive. We hope you will use our "short samples" to inspire you to write your own creative and longer story using the 16+ words in this week's vocabulary lesson plan. You have permission to make a hard copy for further vocabulary study at home or in the classroom.

SHORT STORY using the root DUCT = to lead:
After the soldier�s INDUCTION, he was assigned to REDUCE the gush of water in the AQUADUCT. His CONDUCT was so excellent that he did DEDUCT a large flow from the concrete structure. The SEDUCTION of his success, unfortunately, led to MISCONDUCT and his superiors refused to allow him to work on the VIADUCT.
SHORT STORY using the root FID/FED = trust, faith:
A FEDERAL judge who showed constant FIDELITY to the honor of his profession in the CONFEDERACY of lawyers issued a BONA FIDE AFFADAVIT. He was CONFIDANT that the FIDUCIARY matters within the document would be kept CONFIDENTIAL.
