CROSSWORD for roots GEN and GRAD/GRED/GRESS

ACROSS
  • 2 - to re-create, reconstitute or make over, esp. in a better condition or form
  • 6 - advancement toward a goal or to a further or higher stage; growth or development
  • 10 - a group of contemporary individuals; time interval between the birth of parents and their offspring
  • 11 - liberality in spirit or act, esp. readiness in giving; munificence; nobility of behavior
  • 12 - a set of grammatical categories applied to nouns such as masculine, feminine, neuter or common
  • 13 - vigorously energetic, esp. in the use of initiative or forcefulness; boldly assertive
  • 15 - an exceptional natural capacity of intellect, esp. in science, art, music, etc.
  • 16 - something that enters as an element or component part into a mixture.
    DOWN
  • 1 - to turn aside or away from the main topic or argument in speaking or writing.
  • 3 - ceremony of conferring degrees; award or acceptance of an academic degree or study.
  • 4 - to lower in dignity or estimation; to bring into contempt; to debase
  • 5 - the study of family lines; record of ancestry or descent.
  • 7 - pertaining to or applicable to all members of a class, group or kind; not protected by trademark registration
  • 8 - (cap) of the national legislative body of the US consisting of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
  • 9 - divided into 100 degrees as a scale; abbreviation is Cent.; symbol is C.
  • 14 - possessing the claimed origin or character; not counterfeit; authentic; real
